Having never run a business, and without any culinary training or experience for that matter, they hoped their mutual love of classic american-style baked goods, hard work and to create a warm, welcoming, fun and funky space would pay off. Founded in the gritty heart of New York’s Lower East Side, Sugar Sweet Sunshine Bakery lived at 126 Rivington Street for 21 years. Year 22, brought us to our new space in the LES, at 365 Grand Street, where you can still find Deb and Peg icing cake and cupcakes, cutting brownies, pies and scooping puddings. We have maintained our standards of using the best quality basic ingredients for our desserts - butter, sugar, flour, eggs, pure extracts.
